Cover Card

The figure on this card has developed himself to another stage of his personal growth. He is ready to move into the spiritual and energetic stages of his being. The geometric shapes around his body show the many dimensions of life simultaneously available to him. The square represents the material world, the manifest, and the known. The circle represents the unmanifest, Spirit, and healing energies. And the triangle symbolizes the threefold nature of the universe: manifest, unmanifest and the human being who contains both.

We are multi dimensional beings. The person who draws this card is being presented with an opportunity to see life in all its dimensions, from the depths to the heights. They have learned that, it all exists together. They have experienced the dark and the difficult and they know that it is needed as much as the light and easy. When we learn this, we begin to have a very different perspective on the world. By allowing all of life’s colors to penetrate us, we become more integrated and better able move into our fuller potential.

“Individual entities should be respected in all their variety, and the multiplicity of religions should be a source of enrichment just as we enjoy variety in food dishes.”
Dali Lama

“These teachings are only a finger pointing to the noble wisdom… They are intended for the consideration and guidance of the discriminating minds of all people, but they are not the truth itself, which can only be self-realized within one’s own deepest consciousness.”
Lankavatara Sutra

Editor's Notes

Toni, The articles on channeling [issue 4] seem so elementary. I guess it is part of living in the dark ages, a little like going back to the 8th century and trying to prescribe Penicillin. Channelling and connection with Spirit seem to be as fundamental part of my life as a cell phone would be, say 10 years ago. It is my suspicion from the images of cell phones in my meditational experiences, that our technology is like a precognitive dream and reflective of the increasing communication between the physical plane and those of a higher vibration. Already, the place of psychics in our public world, of their acceptance is so markedly different than the consciousness of the Salem Witchcraft trials. If one were to graph a time line, of the degree of that kind of spiritual and psychic activity over the last decades and centuries, filling in more than just the present and the time of the Salem Witchcraft trials and going back to the Inquisition, I believe it would be easy to see how much more there is now, whether of Tarot card readings, channelings, Jungian psychology, psychic readings in general and books on these subjects, that what had started out as rare and far between, is now growing exponentially. Projecting that into the future, it is not hard to imagine such activities as channeling and past life regressions becoming as routine in our lives as cell phones are now.
